What Awaits You?
UniSport ViLA is not just education—just like volunteering is much more than helping at events—it is an opportunity to learn key skills in organization, team management, media management, and all the small details essential for a successful competition.
Participants will attend six days of theoretical education in March and April, listening to speakers with extensive experience in organizing major sports events, and learning how large sports events are planned and managed. The lecturers are experts with rich backgrounds in sports management, and the topics will cover volunteering, event management, sports media, and leadership. Besides the theoretical part, participants will have the opportunity to engage in practical tasks and actively contribute to the organization of national and international events of the Croatian Academic Sports Federation. At every step, the ViLA academy provides experiences that are not only educational but also inspirational—you will be part of the team organizing the biggest sports events in Croatia.
Schedule:
Lectures will be held in three blocks: March 21 and 22, April 11 and 12, and April 25 and 26.

Background Behind UniSport ViLA
UniSport ViLA originated as a result of the success of the volunteer program conducted during the European University Games in Zagreb and Rijeka in 2016. The program, called “Students for Students,” gathered over 1,400 volunteers who, through their commitment and dedication, significantly contributed to the organization of the largest multi-sport event in Europe at that time. Besides impressive numbers and invaluable volunteer experiences, the program was awarded a State Award, and the legacy of that success lives on today through ViLA.
Moreover, our academy follows the guiding principles of the global university sports association FISU Students Ambassadors and the Volunteers & Leadership Academy (FVLA), in which representatives of HASS and Croatia have participated every year since its inception in 2017.
